PINE BLUFF, Ark. — The ARTx3 Campus, which comprises The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, The ARTSpace on Main and ART WORKS on Main, presents the following events in September:
Live@5: Caitlin Dickerson — 5-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4
Caitlin Dickerson will perform as part of the monthly Live@5 concert series from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, in the Catherine M. Bellamy Theater at The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, 701 S. Main St.
Dickerson performs an acoustic mix of familiar favorites and original songs, made for good company and unhurried moments. With a setlist that moves between pop, country, folk, and songwriter favorites, Dickerson brings live music that adds atmosphere without taking over the room.
Entry is $10 for ARTx3 members and $15 for nonmembers; complimentary beer, wine and nonalcoholic beverages are included. Guests must be 21 or older. Live@5 is presented by MK Distributors. Additional support is provided by Simmons Bank.

Line Dancing — 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11
The ARTx3 Campus will host a line-dancing workshop from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, in the Catherine M. Bellamy Theater at The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, 701 S. Main St.
Marcia Earhart of Diamond Line Dancers leads this fun, high-energy class, teaching easy-to-follow dance routines set to a variety of upbeat music. Participants will learn coordinated steps in a supportive, social environment—no partner required. Perfect for all experience levels and for ages 15 and older, this class is a great way to move, laugh, and build confidence on the dance floor.

The Science Movie Event: “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” — 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12
The ARTx3 Campus will host a screening of the animated film “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Adam B. Robinson Jr. Black Box Theater at ART WORKS on Main, 627 S. Main St.
The animated adventure film about a young inventor whose machine makes food fall from the sky. As the invention spins out of control, he and his friends must use creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving to save their town. This family-friendly film highlights STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) concepts, innovation and the importance of using science responsibly.

Saturday Family FunDay: Cloudy with a Chance of Cotton Candy — 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12
The ARTx3 Campus invites all ages to its next Saturday Family FunDay activity, Cloudy with a Chance of Cotton Candy, from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at The ARTSpace on Main, 623 S. Main St.
Create a whimsical cotton-candy cloud inspired by “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs,” complete with fluffy textures, playful color and a fork floating through the sky.

Saturday Family FunDay offers monthly hands-on arts and science activities in which visitors create art, complete science projects or perform dance, music or theater. The Ben J. Altheimer Charitable Foundation and the Pine Bluff Area Community Foundation sponsor the event.

Golden Hour: Game Time — 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18
The ARTx3 Campus will host Golden Hour: Game Time from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, at The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, 701 S. Main St.
Golden Hour: Game Time is a relaxed and social afternoon designed for adults ages 50 and up to enjoy classic and contemporary games in a welcoming atmosphere. Participants can play card games, board games, and group favorites while connecting with friends, old and new.

Ms. Madkin’s Literacy Class — 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 19
The ARTx3 Campus will host Ms. Madkin’s Literacy Class from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 19, at The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, 701 S. Main St.
Ms. Madkin’s Literacy Class is a joyful, interactive experience that nurtures early reading skills through movement, music and play. Led by Melanie Madkin and created especially for children ages 3–6, this class invites young learners and their caregivers to explore stories, letters, sounds and language in a fun, welcoming environment. This month’s theme is National Hispanic Heritage Month, “Celebramos!”

Reception: “The New Brownies Book: The Exhibition | A Love Letter to Black Families” — 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24
The ARTx3 Campus will host a reception for the exhibition “The New Brownies Book: The Exhibition | A Love Letter to Black Families,” from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, at The ARTSpace on Main, 623 S. Main St. The event is free and open to the public.
The exhibition, in partnership with Relyance Bank and Hearne Fine Art Appraisal & Consulting Services, is an inspiring show celebrating heritage, imagination, and the enduring beauty of Black families. The exhibition features work by Lillian Blades, Kevin Cole, Alfred Conteh, Keef Cross, Paul Goodnight, April Harrison, Leonard Maiden, Marryam Moma, Tracy Murrell, Charly Palmer, James Ransom and Tokie-Rome Taylor.
